Bike Tour Tips

You can hire the appropriate mountain bike or E-bike directly from the Goldegg tourist office. We will be happy to take care of the reservation and organisation for you.

Buchberg tour

The Buchberg tour takes you from Hotel am Schloss, past the refreshing Böndlsee Lake to Goldeggweng and back again on the country road to Goldegg. The partially challenging tour rewards you with wonderful views and stunning alpine panorama.

Goldegg tour

Leaving from Hotel am Schloss, you can explore the wonderful area on this tour. The circular route takes you over Goldeggweng and finally to the Wenger stream. Then down the Putzengraben in the direction of Schwarzach and past castle Schernberg, bringing you back to Goldegg.

Hochkaseralm mountain hut

From your starting point at the hotel, you go to the wonderful Böndlsee Lake. Gravel roads and forest paths guide you up to the wonderful Hochkaseralm mountain hut. After a long break and something to eat, you will surely have enough energy to climb on foot to the Klingspitz, before you head back to Goldegg.

Böndlsee Lake

From the departure point at Hotel am Schloss, this lovely and sometimes more challenging tour goes to the Böndlsee Lake. There awaits you, a well-earned jump in to the cool refreshing water. This route is also an ideal tour for E-bikes and is very easy to find. The road over Goldeggweng takes you directly to the destination.

Böndlsee mountain bike tour

The start of this tour is on tarmac, with a maximum incline of 12% and is relatively easy to handle. The rest of the route takes you through areas of forest and on forest paths and is only passable on a mountain bike.

Meislsteinalm mountain hut

Directly from Hotel am Schloss, you can enjoy this beautiful and challenging biking tour. To make life easier you could also do this tour on an E-bike. From the road, direction Goldeggweng, about 500 m before the Böndlesee Lake, you will see the turn-off for the Hackeralm/Meislsteinalm, where you just need to follow this road.
